Kazakhstan and China will launch the Xi'an-Almaty passenger train

ASTANA – Kazakhstan and China have agreed to launch the Xi'an-Almaty international tourist passenger train, the KTZ press service reported on April 29.

As KTZ reports, the management of the national railway company and JSC "Passenger Transportation" discussed relevant topics with the Xi'an administration during a working meeting.

"Through the Horgos-Altinkol border crossing, the tourist train will run according to the schedule of passenger train No. 103/104 on the Urumqi-Almaty-2 route," the message says.

For several days, the train will be idle at Almaty-2 station. During this time, the Kazakh side will provide security and help in planning cultural events at the station for passengers.
