Published: in News by .

Ukrenergo states that the situation with the accumulation of coal at TPP warehouses does not change and remains critical. As of August 25, there is 2 times less coal than necessary in TPP warehouses. This is stated in the review of the operation of the energy system on August 16-24, 2021 by Ukrenergo.

On the morning of August 25, 3 units of the TPP with a capacity of 0.7 GW were in emergency repair according to the manufacturers' requests (as of the morning of August 16 – 2 units and 1 building with a capacity of 0.4 GW).

In addition, due to the lack of fuel, 19 units of thermal power plants and thermal power plants with a total capacity of 7.3 GW did not work.

"The situation with the accumulation of coal in TPP warehouses does not change and remains critical. As of the morning of August 25, there are 750,000 tons of coal in TPP warehouses, which is 1.7% less than at the beginning of the previous week (763,000 tons on August 16).

At the same time, gas coal reserves increased by 2.2% to 501,000 tons compared to the beginning of the previous week (August 16 – 490,000 tons). This is a consequence of the reduction of electricity production at the TPP during weekends. As a result, gas coal reserves have increased by 33,200 tons over the past three days," Ukrenergo notes.

At the same time, the volume of anthracite coal in comparison with the beginning of the previous week decreased by 8.8% to 249 thousand tons.

"Ukrenergo" stressed that according to the fuel accumulation schedule approved by the Ministry of Energy, there is 2 times less coal in TPP warehouses than it should be on August 25.

In particular, gas coal was accumulated 2.3 times less according to the schedule, while anthracite coal was accumulated 1.5 times less.

As of August 25, there are 168,000 tons of coal in CHP warehouses, which is 9.9% less than on August 16 (185,000 tons).
