Akhmetov's company noted that imported coal makes it possible to ensure the reliability of heat generation, especially during peaks of electricity consumption.
"There are still more than two months until the end of the heating season. Therefore, we are strengthening the energy front from two sides. On the one hand, we maximize production at our own mines. This is a priority for us. Two new coal beds were introduced in January, and we are planning three more in February. On the other hand, we are accumulating an additional reserve of strength from imported fuel", – commented on the increase in imports, CEO of DTEK Energo Ildar Saleev.
