If the US stops aid…

by .The head of state sees an additional danger in such a scenario of events: the opinions of EU leaders depend on the actions of Washington.
Europe will not be able to cope on its own if the US stops helping Ukraine. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this in an interview with the German TV channel ARD.
This is how he answered a question about what would happen if the US stopped aid to Ukraine, and whether Europe could fill such a gap. However, the head of state believes that this will not happen.
"First of all, I believe that this will not happen. That Europe will not remain alone. And here the issue is complex. First: Europe alone will not be able to cope – at the level at which Ukraine received support before: neither with weapons nor financially. Why? Because, probably, even if all of Europe united, it would be able to give sufficient support to Ukraine, but the United States has influence. And when the signals are not very positive, they have the same effect on some European leaders," the Ukrainian leader said.
In his opinion, such a development is possible, in the event that the USA delays the processes regarding support, then this will have an impact on the united Europe.
"And here there are consistent problems. The first is the shortage of weapons and finances in Ukraine due to what I have already said. Second, I think that the alliance between the United States of America and Europe will be lost. Third, Europe itself will understand that this is a signal that if Ukraine does not hold out and Putin goes ahead, and this is a signal from the United States that Europe will be left alone (among – ed.) NATO countries, who will oppose Russia. That is, it will be a serious threat. Putin will take advantage of this, 100%. And this will be a signal to say that NATO will not be so strong either. Because if the United States of America splits, someone else will have a different opinion about NATO, about the union of security countries. Why? Because they have economic relations with the Russian Federation," Zelensky explained.
According to him, the sanctions policy will also "sprinkle", because the USA, when it supports Ukraine, also influences the sanctions policy of European countries.
"That's why I think that in general: the redistribution of the world is what it's called," the head of state summarized.
