The government said when they expect the first billions from the EU

The Ukraine Facility regulations will be finally approved by the European Parliament at the February 26-29 plenary session.

Already in March, Ukraine expects to receive the first payment from the European Union in the amount of 4.5 billion within the framework of the Ukraine Facility program approved by the European Council on Thursday. First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy Yuliya Svyridenko announced this on Facebook.

"Currently, the government is working on an appropriate transitional financing agreement together with European partners," she wrote.

According to Svyridenko, now the European Council together with the European Commission and the European Parliament must agree on the final conditions of the program, after which the Ukraine Facility regulations will be approved by the European Parliament at the plenary session on February 26-29.

The Deputy Prime Minister reminded that the program was created according to the model by which the EU finances its members, and reminded that within the framework of preparations for the Ukraine Facility, the Ukrainian side worked on its own plan for the implementation of this program.

"When the European Parliament approves the regulation, we will take into account its final conditions in the plan. Our consultations with European partners have been ongoing since the start of work on the document, and we will jointly complete its preparation in accordance with the adopted program," she said.

According to Svyridenko, after approval by the government, the document will be submitted for consideration by the European Commission, and the final approval by the EU will allow the program to be launched soon.
