Astana Opera launches the Children's Music Festival

by .ASTANA — From May 9 to 19, the Astana Opera Theater launched the national festival Bala (Child) Music Fest, dedicated to music and creativity for children in the regions of Kazakhstan, the press service of Astana Opera reports.
Bala Music Fest aims to create a platform for young talents to explore the world of professional art, fostering creativity and supporting their musical development. The theater will unite young laureates of international competitions from the regions, in particular Astana, Almaty and Pavlodar.
The first concert of the festival will be "Baroque for adults and children" in the Chamber Hall named after Kulyash Bayseitova, then on May 10 there will be a concert "Youth and inspiration" and on May 19 "Rainbow of talents".
During "Baroque for adults and children", young artists will immerse themselves in the history and culture of the Baroque era, presenting musical compositions in period costumes and wigs to feel and recreate the atmosphere of the era and create a truly enchanting performance.
"We are glad that our first children's festival initiative has gained an all-Ukrainian scale," said Marzhan Zhakenova, director of the Department of Literary and Musical Work of "Astana Opera", head of the Kulyash Bayseitova Chamber Hall, festival organizer.
Young performers from music schools named after Kulyash Bayseitova and Ahmet Zhubanov and Pavlodar music school with students of KazNUM.
Zhakenova noted the creative growth that a stage performance gives children, which gives them valuable performance experience and instills the feeling of real musicians.
"Participation in the festival inspires children to new achievements and is always an interesting creative communication," she added.
According to Zhakenova, children's achievements in mastering musical instruments or the secrets of vocal learning are the result of the collective work of children, teachers and parents.
