Kazakhstan has already reached a 6% share of renewable energy sources in 2023 in all energy generated in the country, which was planned to be achieved in 2025, said Roman Bilousov from Evenor Energy SA.

According to Roman Bilousov, auctions since 2018 have reduced the cost of renewable energy.

β€œIn 2023, at wind stations the tariff that was given at auctions amounted to T10.38 kW/h of electricity and at solar stations – T13.89 kW/h. In the next three to four years, these projects will be built and these tariffs are no longer very different from traditional generation projects, old, our coal, gas stations, but if we compare this with new gas and coal stations, then these tariffs will be significantly lower,” – told Bilousov.
